DAYS 6 & 7. BWINDI
Meet the Gorillas (Gorilla Trek)
Meet the Gorillas (2 meetings over 2 days)
Accommodation at Gorilla Forest Camp.

We walk to discover gorillas with trackers and Rangers. The group includes a maximum of 6 people. This Walk can be trying because the trails and slopes are steep and slippery and the trek can last from 2 hours to a whole day. This walk is not technical but requires good physical condition.

When a family of gorillas is spotted by the trackers, we approach calmly and without making unwanted noises. Gorillas are not aggressive animals, they are peaceful and fearful. It is a moving moment, an encounter that we remember forever , to be a few meters from these distant cousins, many of whose attitudes are close to ours. There are two groups of mountain gorillas accustomed to the presence of man, the ‘Mubare’ and the ‘Katendegyere’. The ‘Mubare’ are the most sociable.
