3 Days Gorilla Tracking Bwindi SafariDay 1: Travel to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park

In the morning, be picked by our experienced and knowledgeable guide. He will brief you about the whole trip and then start on the nine hour journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park. The journey is also an experience of its own. First have a stopover at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe for the water experience to see how water swirls to different directions in the opposite hemispheres of the earth. From here proceed to Mbarara town for lunch and then drive direct the park. The journey gives you spectacular views of the Kigezi highlands and the Virunga ranges.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural encounter

After your morning breakfast, head to the park headquarters for briefing and then start on your trek to hunt the endangered giants of the jungle; the mountain gorillas. Bwindi impenetrable forest national park is a home to over 700 mountain gorilla creating 90% chances of tourists in this park to encounter these humble giants of the forest. The walk through the thick forest in search of the gorillas is mostly rewarding when you finally encounter these great apes. Spend an hour with them and see the world through their eyes.

In the afternoon after a delicious lunch and relaxation, head out to the community to have interactions with the Batwa forest people. These were the first inhabitants of Bwindi forest before it was gazetted as a park. Here you will enjoy cultural performances, taste the local cuisines, see how the Batwa used to hunt and gather fruits in the forest. After this awesome experience, travel back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Departure

Early morning after breakfast, check out of the lodge and start travelling back to Kampala or straight to the airport to catch up with your flight back home.
