4 Day Golden Monkeys and Gorilla Trekking Uganda Safari | Primate Tour
Our 4 Day Golden monkeys and Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga, Uganda, will take you to Mgahiga National Park located in the south western region, where you will trek the beautiful Golden Monkeys in Uganda. Then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for a rare mountain gorilla in an up-close encounter with these gentle giants in their true natural habitats.

DAY 01:To Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
On Day One, after your breakfast, you drive to the southwestern region of the Pearl of Africa/Uganda. Have a stopover at the Equator to have a cup of tea/coffee, and it’s also the only place where you will have an opportunity to stand in both 2 hemispheres at the same time and take some memorable pictures.
Then proceed to Mbarara for Lunch. Thereafter, the drive takes you through the Savannah grasslands, seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredibly long, curving horns. Then you ascend into the Kigezi highlands, known as the “Switzerland of Africa”, with terraced farming and mountain scenery, to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, which doubles as a National Park.

Day 2. Gorilla tracking in the Bwindi Impenetrable forest
A MoForest cup of coffee or tea is recommended before your gorilla tracking Experience. You will then head to the briefing point at the park headquarters, and from here you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts while in the jungle forest with the gentle Giants.
You will be provided with walking sticks, and you’re also advised to have your lunch packed with enough drinking water. Staring into the pensive brown eyes of these gentle giants, who share 95% of their genes with humans, is as humbling as it is thrilling. After you trek, you will be transferred to KKisoroin, preparation for the next adventure on the plan, which is the Golden Monkey tracking experience.

Day 3. Golden Monkey tracking in Mgahinga National park Uganda
Park, and have your breakfast, you will drive to Mgahinga National Park for a briefing and then go Golden monkey trek. During this briefing exercise, you will be advised on the dos and Don’ts when it comes to this interesting and interactive activity in the highlands of Kisolo. The golden monkey walk will expose you to other attractions in the park, these include Buffaloes, duikers, bushbucks, and also getting a view of the Sabinyo and Vurunga Mountains before returning to your hotel for overnight.
This activity takes between 3-6 hours, and it’s highly recommended to be fit enough for the activity. Thereafter, you will be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi for an evening Boat cruise on this beautiful Lake Bunyonyi that consists of 29 small islands with different historical backgrounds, though this will all depend on the time of arrival at your hotel after the Golden monkey experience.

Day 04: To Kampala or Entebbe/Kigali, International Airport
After your early breakfast, you will be driven to Kampala or Entebbe for your post-tour accommodation, or you may choose to fly out of Uganda on this day using the same route, enabling you to have a second stopover at the Equator if on the first day missed out on taking very good pictures and also buying some souvenirs. Or transfer you to Kigali depending on flight schedules.

Our 4 Day Golden Monkeys and Gorilla Trekking Uganda Safari to Bwindi and Mgahinga National Parks guarantees a fast Gorilla Trekking Experience in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, and second, the Golden Monkey experience in Mgahinga National Park. Our safari can either start from Kigali in Rwanda/ Entebbe in Uganda and ends in the same destinations respectively. With stops at the equator crossing for photography and buying some souvenir’s.
