Day 1: Travel to Nyungwe Forest National Park
You will be picked up from the airport or the hotel where you spent the previous night. The guide will brief you on the trip movements and then transfer you to Nyungwe Forest National Park. The journey roughly takes about four to six hours; it will be fully flexible, having numerous stopovers at the points of interest. Arrival at the park will be in the evening, just for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimp tracking and community
Early morning after breakfast, head to the park headquarters, where you will have a simple briefing from the local ranger guide about the rules and regulations of chimp tracking. Now, enter the forest to hunt for our nearest cousins in the forest. Unlike gorilla trekking, tracking the chimps is easier the fact that you hear them scream the moment you enter the forest. Spend one magical hour with the chimps on meeting them, watching them carry on their daily lives and taking pictures, as many as you want, as long as the camera doesn’t have a flash.
In the evening, after a relaxation from a satisfying lunch, visit the local community to enjoy the traditional performance and taste the local cuisines. Have personal interactions with the local people of the world through their eyes; it’s just an experience worth having for an evening.
Day 3: Travel back to Kigali
Following breakfast, start the journey back to Kigali town, to a hotel that you booked or to the airport to fly back home. That will be the end of the three-day primates’ safari in Rwanda.
